Another one of my stupid questions

I know i ask a lot of you guys but some of it is only me having an inquiring mind.
Why is it that some accounts get a gig of disk space right off the bat, and others like me get only 512mb and will have to beg for more at some point ?
Im not really close yet as i have a small site and dont have a lot of content or other useless BS.
Just looking for something to keep you guys busy LOL

it depends on what server is allocated to you.
the more powerful server consist of lesser memory at first but that is so to stop people from using it to commit crimes. but you can remove it after 7 days
