I know all about the single player and almost next to nothing about the multiplayer.

Any other modes? What about mods?

I haven't really looked around for mods for Crysis, other than some of those mods that redo the textures in the games or adjust the config file/HDR values in the config. Other than that, I've only heard of one mod that may be in production; the Crysis BSG Mod.

I never really took interest in the Crysis modding scene. I figured that with such an advanced game it would have pretty powerful modding tools. I guess not.

Sandbox2 I'm almost sure is the closest you'll get to Crysis's modding tools. Other than that, it's basically working it from the ground up I believe.

there are plenty of mods...

I think Crysis Wars have more online Modes, which I have yet to play so I can't comment on that.

As with most games, online play is most enjoyable.

You have to think Crysis as a pioneer...

cause many other games are using their engine to make other different types of game.

Cryengine 2 is the Core of Crysis... and many other games to come.

That being said....reason why many game companies want to license this technology is because it's ROBUST & VERSTILE meaning it can do alot more than what it's currently doing. You can think of Crysis as a stepping stone just as how it was with Far Cry.

This game doesn't just involve graphic but also invlves with high technology. like cloaks and all the features in the control, how can you compare this with FarCry?

You can even configure your nano suit in FarCry... and Crysis have everything that FarCry offers... truely you are not the real gamer. A real gamer has the hardware...may I ask you what your computer specs are? ppffff thats what I thought.

Which ones are worth checking out?

So there's no more modes with the original game?

I consider FarCry to be the pioneer. When it was released there was nothing else like it. Crysis just built on what FarCry did. Sure it has its own twist to the game play but and it is better but it's still not that impressive as FarCry was when it was first released.

That's wonderful they are licensing there product. What examples should I be looking at? What game companies are you speaking about in particular?

That being said....reason why many game companies want to license this technology is because it's ROBUST & VERSTILE meaning it can do alot more than what it's currently doing. You can think of Crysis as a stepping stone just as how it was with Far Cry.

The sad thing is though as robust and versatile as the engine is it's still not the most popular one on the market. UE3 continually beats it out in developer support. This is most likely due to the supported platforms that UE3 has.

Not saying that CE2 is less capable than UE3. CE2 is a graphical powerhouse but it lacks any real support to bring it out. The only games I've seen use it are the Crysis games. I've seen the demo reel of the Sony Brevia commerical done in CryEngine 2.

It's a gimmick of the game. It's a fun feature and it's not even in FarCry.

You can even configure your nano suit in FarCry...

You didn't have a nano suit in FarCry. You had a Hawaiian t-shirt.

and Crysis have everything that FarCry offers...

Yes it does and it rightfully should.

truely you are not the real gamer. A real gamer has the hardware...may I ask you what your computer specs are? ppffff thats what I thought.

LOL I guess I'm not a true gamer! :chuckle: If hardware really meant wither you were a true gamer then I would totally lose. Fortunately for me I know more about games and the industry than most.

No..you're wrong.. Crysis was not built off Far Cry...

Far Cry was built of Cryengine....
Crysis was also built using Cryengine, in this case, Cryengine 2...

So in Essense you are wrong and Cryengine or Crytek is the pioneer.
Edit:
I never really took interest in the Crysis modding scene. I figured that with such an advanced game it would have pretty powerful modding tools. I guess not.

from the way it seems, you're nothing more than a console boy.
and you know what they say about console boys...
console boys are casual gamers...lol

look at your sig... lists nothing but Xbox games, lol
where's the fun in that...lol

figures how you can object to hardcore gaming genre's
just admit it, you dislike it cause your hardware doesn't allow you to play it right so thats why you're mad, there's only one solution.... get the hardware...no not the hardwares for the casual gamers...good luck with your xbox 360 lol

I didn't mean that Crysis was actually built off of FarCry or it's engine. I meant Crysis built off of FarCry's ideas.

you're a lost boy...

get your facts straight....

you know nothing about Far Cry and the maker of it which is Crytek. You assume that Crysis was built off Far Cry, well you're wrong... it's all built off an engine called Cryengine and now it's at the version 2 which is now Cryengine 2. So in essense, you are wrong and shows that you know not much about this...

you probably played Far Cry on console and not on PC.

"You didn't mean...."
Wtf?...just admit you're wrong... stop switching your words around. Be straight boy... and get a gaming PC if you wanna play modern games and not be stuck in the 80's.... Stop using your dads computer and get your own...his is obsolete for todays gaming...yes you can go as far as Chrono Trigger with your dads old PC...lol

Talk about someone arguing with you for the sake of arguing... reminds me of this one douchebag from highschool.

console boys are casual gamers...lol

You hurt my feelings. :(

look at your sig... lists nothing but Xbox games, lol
where's the fun in that...lol

No way, who would have thought that an Xbox Live gamercard would only list xbox games? lol

just admit it, you dislike it cause your hardware doesn't allow you to play it right so thats why you're mad,

First person shooters are a hardcore genre? lol

Really my PC lets me play Crysis fine. I just have no reason to play it any longer. You really don't get much more out of it other than it's single player and that gets boring after a while.

there's only one solution.... get the hardware...no not the hardwares for the casual gamers...good luck with your xbox 360 lol

Are you going to pay for it? :)

get your facts straight....

If you want to get technical then CryEngine 2 has very little to do with CryEngine 1. Other than a few lines of code they are completely different.

you probably played Far Cry on console and not on PC.

I own the PC version and I rented the console version. The console one is terrible and is nothing like the PC version.

"You didn't mean...."
Wtf?...just admit you're wrong... stop switching your words around. Be straight boy... and get a gaming PC if you wanna play modern games

The meaning of my words have always been the same. What's different is that you can't understand the context in which I was talking. I assumed you understood that CryEngine 1 and CryEngine 2 were two different engines and that was my mistake. Crysis could never in a million years be built from Cryengine 1. It's impossible.

Now take that into consideration and you'll find out what I meant. I was not referring to Crysis being physically built from Farcry. I was referring to the fact that the concept of Crysis could never ever been formed with out FarCry.

If it were not for the idea of a man on an island with the freedom to go anywhere killing enemies then Crysis would have never been made.

and not be stuck in the 80's.... Stop using your dads computer and get your own...his is obsolete for todays gaming...yes you can go as far as Chrono Trigger with your dads old PC...lol

Talk about someone arguing with you for the sake of arguing... reminds me of this one douchebag from highschool.

I'm going to ask you once more to keep it respectful and act a llittle bit more mature than that. I really don't want to give you infractions but if you continue to troll then I will. Consider this a warning.
