Is their anyway of lifting the restriction of 1GB of space for flash arcades on this account , such as a one time payment.

No. The free hosting Terms of Service are non-negotiable. The only way to lift the restriction would be an upgrade to Premium or VPS.

For the record, 1gb of flash games allows for a quiet large number of games, I have ~100 games installed to my forum arcade, and the disk usage is less then 50Mb for those total.
I could, in theory, add 20 times more games and still be under 1Gb (given that my disk usage represent some sort of average for 100 flash games).
