Embrace the nerd in you! Sure, I indulge in some sporting and non-computer related events, but I love computers too. I program and design and surf the web. Does that make me a nerd? OF COURSE!

How do I embrace this "nerd"; better yet were do i find it in me:dunno:

it only makes you a nerd if it's obsessive to the point of single-mindedness

Wow i read must of the posts..is an interesting topic..well most of the people don't even know whati can do in the computer..and i'm not obviously good in comparison with a lot of this forum users...imagine in comparison with the whole planet people..but i know that i'm much better in this than a lot of other people ...
Acually in school i'm one of the best students...but i'm also the kind of fashion girl..but i don't like sports..so i'm kind of everything.. i'm perfect jaja

Although I program, design, browse the web, and can troubleshoot any computer, I'm not a social outcast who holes up in the basement playing an MMORPG all day (although this seems pretty normal in China and South Korea).

Plus, being skilled at computers has perks of its own. I'm armed with the knowledge of keeping my computer safe through either not using Windows or through browsers like Firefox and Opera.

And does it matter if anyone calls you a nerd anyways?

Yea, I think so. But I only like being called a nerd. I don't care really, its just a label, thats an opinion of someone. Its not a fact, but still, why can't we give a description of a person who is good with PCs?
