My site is deus.exofire.net. I've been using Visual Web Developer 2008 to write ASP.NET for a while and wanted to host an .aspx website. However, when I uploaded a page into CPanel and attempted to go there, I got an "Error 500" message, saying that there's an "unrecognizable attribute" in line 12 of the web.config file. I had uploaded the file from the folder in which I kept my site--could that have been the problem?

Whoever first shows me a working solution to this gets 50 credits.

You need to make sure your web.config is compatible with mod_mono, we don't run true windows servers, but a simulator.

Do I need to manually download mod_mono and then put it in the "etc" folder? I looked all over and the server doesn't appear to have it installed.

It is installed on the server. You don't have to do anything to get it running.

I don't get it; what do I put in the web.config file? I looked over the mod_mono site, but I didn't notice anything that gave actual directions to solving this dilemma of mine (i.e. the site said that something sould be put in etc/apache2/, but this "apache2" folder doesn't exist).

Apologies about my ignorance, but I'm not exactly an expert in server dynamics.
