Automatic IP blocking on FTP transfer?

Hi, do you have set some kind of script to temporary ban the IP that is having a "high resource usage" on a site hosted here?

II'm trying to get a full backup of my site but this seems to be pretty much work for the x10 server -.-" Eventually (let's say, 30 MB of transfer download) the FTP connection breaks and I can't access my site. However, when this happens, I still can access my site through a proxy and also my visitors can access my site, it's just my IP can't access.

When my FTP transfer times out, I can't access my own site except through a proxy. :nuts:

Then I have to wait 30 mins to 1 hour to access my site again, and continue transfering... this is a pain in the butt, I've been trying to backup my 100 MB site since yesterday. 10 hours just to get a simple backup..... :rant2:

Can you please fix this? :dunno:

Please disable multiple connections in your FTP client, the firewall will automatically IP ban you if you use more than one connection. If this rule wasn't in place, we'd never have enough slots available for other users.

Done. And it's still the same. It's the first time I'm getting this issue. Or how much do I have to wait to gain access again?

I'm not sure how long the IP ban is for, and unfortunately I don't have shell access to the server so I can't reverse it. I think it's for 30 - 60 minutes but I can't be sure.

Ok, it was around 60 mins, now I can access again my site. I will update you if the issue appears again (wich I hope it doesn't) =D
