Avast or AVG?

Avast is so much better ^_^ AVG doesn't allow me to do many things with my online apps, while Avast is better at picking out what is actually a threat. Avast has many more options and the user interface can get no friendlier to the user. It tells you with alerts and sounds when something important happens, unless you tell it not to. Also, the scan has never failed to pick up a virus and stop it. If the regular scan doesn't work, boot scan will. There are numerous skins to make Avast easier on the eyes.
The best thing for me, though, is that it is a complete package. Only antivirus? I think not. I have no firewall. I have no antispyware. Avast Antivirus's web scanner and resident scanner acts as both together!
I use Avast Pro Edition and I will always ^_^

Onavast, you must activate.That's better on AVG. Just install it and it's done. But perdonally, I use NOD32.

Avast is currently one of the best free antivirus providing excellent for free users. Actually if you really want to compare you should also put clamav another hardcore powerful scanner.
Though Clamav does not provide you have a solid clean up, it detects the virus full path location for you to go and delete it. It's like one of the best of the best free antivirus to detect virus in which are coming out so fast per day.
Moreover, clamav methodology been tested by some company and been given the highest rating for their infrastructure system is one of the best to use on Windows and Linux system.

I am a IT savvy person , trust me and you will sore. Clamav is not recommended to beginners due to its pretty hard to understand certain configuration. But beginners do not forget there's Avast which is the increasing fast and reliable antivirus compared to avg.

I prefer avast for the reasons:
1> Its been proven and certified by many authorities.
2> its lighter and faster
3> Updates are small and regular
4> integrates better into windows
5> Is available for Linux too,
6> ....well skins always count for brownie points!!!

avast is well better all ways loved avast i used both as well:drool:
