Avator problem

when i tried to upload an avator for my profile.

it says "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

We are looking into this, we have noticed this a day or so back already.

i think upload_tmp_dir' is the temp folder and it need to be chmod to 1777.

try switching ImageMagic instead of GD.

or may be a HDD space issue.


i was trying to upload a remote .gif file.

I tried visiting that site and received : "Firefox can't find the server at www.subeeshr.co.cc."

server may be down when you checked.Look if it loads now.

Now iam getting the previous error itself

I see the gif, a dude with shades and some chicks in a flashy kinda background.

One problem might be that you are unable to upload or link gifs as avatars from the usercp, this can only be done by a staff member. I am not sure if we are allowed to change your avatar to gif though.

Sorry the answer is no, if it where allowed then you would be able to do it via the usercp.
