Backing up mysql database

Hello,

I tried searching for this but couldn't find any results.

I'd like to backup/export my MySQL database before I redo my website. I tried exporting it at phpmyadmin but I suppose because it is quite large (182 MB) it didn't complete properly (I only got a partial file). Now when I try to access phpmyadmin again I cannot access it, I'm stuck at the "Please be patient, you will be redirected in a moment...." (I suppose because it's still trying to execute my previous export action?)

Would it be possible to obtain the MySQL database manually in an attachment or via FTP or something?

i think there phpmyadmin is not working because i cant access it either , i need to backup and upload it in my clients original site before today but im struck here

but im going to try to use MySQL Workbench. hope it can do the job

I have tried again and it seems to be working now. I looked through my tables and found some are bigger than others so I'm exporting the database in batches, seems to be working now (so far).
