Hey Boss (or whomever)--

A Bad Thing happened -- not disasterous, but not good -- & I thought to explore the R1soft Restore Backups, only to discover that I had none :-(

Q: do I need to do something to implement auto backups?
Q: How often are backups performed?
Q: can I schedule backups?
Q: Do just the files backup, or do mySQL dbs backup as well?
Q: Are there any other backups besides R1s?
Q: The Bad Thing involved the loss of data from a table in one of my mySQL dbs. Can you tell me if there has been ANY backups --internal or external--ran on my dbs in the last 12-24 hrs (yeah, I'm grasping here....)?

Much gracias for any info...until then, I'll be doing manual backups every night!!

Thnx,

-Midgard

I believe Backups of free accounts are taken once every month. and you don`t have permission to schedule the backup in R1soft. you can use R1soft to just restore you account if you have any backup in R1soft.

Make manual backup regularly. If you owned a small website then Once a week will be alright. But if you are hosting a blog or forums and new posts are added daily then prefer daily backup.

There are many script that do this automatically.

Just check this one it may help you.http://www.phpmybackuppro.net/
