Beginners Help with Changing Wordpress Theme - Activate Theme not working

Hello all,

I need some help.

I have been following the guide at Free WordPress Hosting (Simple Method) X10hosting Setup

I have successfully signed up for a X10hosting site.

I then successfully installed Wordpress.

I can then open my domain and it contains the default Wordpress theme layout.

So far, no problems.

Now I get to the part in the video where the narrator changes the theme.

I do not want the particular theme in the video but add the theme called Storefront Eshop Version: 1.1.2 By Omega Themes .

I then "Activate" the theme.

I then open my domain but the original default Wordpress theme is still there.

Tried opening on another computer, clearing browser cache, activating the standard Twenty Twenty-Four Wordpress theme, but the website always shows the original default Wordpress theme that it used when I installed Wordpress from the X10hosting Control Panel for my site.

I have no experience with Wordpress or hosting a website so it may be a basic thing I am missing.

unfortunately x10 does not provide any script support, this includes wordpress.
however if someone has had the same issue they may be able to help you out.

another option is to check the worpress forums for support.

Thanks for both of your replies.

As far as i can tell, Activating a different theme should change the website.

I read the same on the Wordpress site help.

What does that mean for modifying the active theme?

I am simply opening the Administrative URL : https://tiasgoods.x10.mx/wp-admin/ to change the theme so is that not supported by x10?

The only thing we support is making sure the site is up and available, any questions on HOW to maintain/run wordpress is outside of the support of x10hosting as we are not the ones that made WordPress (as is the case with ANYTHING you install on your site, or code yourself). For support with such things as WordPress, please refer to their own support forums at https://wordpress.org

IF any user have similar experience and knows the solution they are of course free to answer, but from staff you will not be able to get official support regarding the CONTENT on your site.

Thanks for your reply.

Does that mean that when I open the Administrative URL : https://tiasgoods.x10.mx/wp-admin/ then I am purely using Wordpress so it cannot be a problem with x10hosting's hosting of the Wordpress addin?
