Blank page on phpbb3 install

I keep getting a blank page when trying to install phpbb3.

You need to wait 12-24 hours for your php upgrade to become active.

The phpbb3 staff recommended me to upgrade to 'advanced', so I just put in the application for that.

Your advanced request will most likely be denied.
You should only request that if a x10hosting admin tells you to.
Intermediate works just fine with phpbb3.

Why can I not get this to work then? I get this error:

When your application is accepted, you need to wait approximately 6-12hs for it to update.

About the following error:

Your permissions are wrong. Make sure INSIDE your public_html all folder permissions are 755, and all file permissions are 644.

That will be fixed in 6-12 hours when the php upgrade is processed.
