Hey guys I hope this is the correct location for this kind of thing, anyway when ever I post a link to my website to a friend on facebook it tells me something about abusive content and will not let me post the link:rant2:.

I use a url shorter so I can send the link but yeah facebook has me flaged I guess. my webiste is

http://lachytv.x10hosting.com if you try to send the link to someone over the IM in facebook or comment it will block it.

Just though I should bring it to your attention.

Also I would just say my webiste is totality clean and is not braking any x10hosting rules to I think facebook must block all x10sites

It's most likely flagging the main x10hosting.com website due to former "report abuse/spam" ticks from other users of Facebook. That's why Facebook is most likely blocking your site even though it is clean. As to getting it unblocked, I can't help much at all since I don't go to Facebook nor do I have an account there.

Facebook has blacklisted the x10Hosting domain, my account was actually disabled from there as I had my contact e-mail set to my @x10Hosting.com.

I asked about getting it removed but never got a reply.

I don't know if Facebook blacklisted other free hosting providers, but I tried to post a link once and it stopped me from putting it. However, I was able to post the link after I used a url shortener service.

If this is true, it is an injustice. I do not know how to solve the problem. It never happened before. :dunno:

Facebook banned the x10Hosting.com domain a long time ago. No links out of the site are allowed to x10Hosting.com or any subdomain under it.

It is the result of Facebook phishing sites and spam coming from our service, and there isn't much that can be done to resolve it. Although.. We have systems now that automatically stop that kind of abuse, so very little bits of it even go online for more than a few seconds. It's too late though :(

I use http://bit.ly to post link updates to the x10Hosting Facebook (http://facebook.com/x10hosting), they get past the filter as long as you type in two CAPTCHA words.

Edit: I just realized you already said URL shorteners work. Oh well, maybe I should go to sleep.

Well, Facebook's poo anyway, so it's yet another excuse to not use it!

So how come you can't post links but you can still call a group "x10Hosting"?

Weird.

When I try to click through those bit.ly links, I get this message from Facebook also: "The link you are trying to visit has been reported as abusive by Facebook users." Looks like Facebook blacklisted bit.ly as well.

My site works just fine using a parked domain (mcse7en.com) when I post it on facebook. Maybe you guys should try using free co.cc domains as parked domains on your sites, then post those links on facebook.

That won't help too much for me when I'm trying to post links to the forum. I guess I could set up some redirection thing on a random co.cc domain though, so it'll be something like http://adfuiawfe.co.cc/?redirect=1, then in the PHP file, I would set 1 equal to http://forums.x10hosting.com/feedback-suggestoins/ and make it point to a thread.

Edit: Sorry about the double post, I thought it would auto-merge, but apparently it doesn't do that for me. If an account manager or admin could merge my two posts, it would be appreciated :p

I am having the same problem of my website being blocked or blacklisted on many websites, including Wikipedia! And Wikipedia also blacklisted "http://bit.ly/", so I cant use that trick either!

Is there any way to unblock my website or x10hosting.com from these websites? The reason for blacklisting seems to be either because of some bad websites on x10hosting.com, or maybe because the server is sometimes down and so the websites think it doesnt exist?

Cheers,
Shervin Emami.
