Blog Missing!

Hello,
My blog and its contents totally are missing from the site! the blog which is available now i had modified it posted. now its not the same! can i knw wat problem is it that m facing now.??

I did not modify it! the folders of the wordpress blog are still in my co.cc server! but the blog has disappeared! a basic version of wordpress blog is up now!

What do you mean "a basic version"? As in the default just installed status?

Check your wp-content folder for your uploaded themes. Then go to phpMyAdmin and check your wordpress database and try seeing if your recent posts are in the posts table.

Yes! the basic version which is default just installed one. and the files do exist in my server. the themes do exist in my wp-content folder.n the database too does exist in php myadmin!

Hmm do you have a site URL?

Check to make sure the wp-config.php file is setup correctly and pointing to the correct database.

In your wp-admin (logged in), are your themes found under Appearance?

The thing is m not able to log in at all.. My website url is mukeshkini.co.cc. it says password in correct. and if i go to the forgot password and mention my email id, it says the user is not found register.

this cant happen cos i registered wid wordpress and then installed in my website. the wp-config file is perfect and is pointing to the database.

I dont understand where the problem lies. m not able to log in at all thru mukeshkini.co.cc/wp-admin.

Please Help.

I experienced the same. The problem I found out, was due to the fact that the database username privileges have been altered. Make sure you check all boxes for database username privileges. Once you're done, you can refresh your site and it would be back up.

my database priveleges ething seems to be fine! now the error m getting is "Error establishing a database connection"!!

Please will someone tell me what i do abt this? hw can i get it resolved??

You should have a config , configuration , settings .ini or .php file for your blog etc. Open it up and make sure the database host is set to 'localhost' . If it is not, change it.

If that does not work, go to cPanel, then mySQL Databases and drop the database user from the database (do not delete him, just drop him from the database). Then add him back, making sure to check "ALL" when the pop up page asks you to set the permissions.

If that does not work, post back here.

The config and .php files exist and also its set to localhost.

there's no option to drop the user. only delete option exist.

Your wordpress blog currently works fine for me. But, it seems it has been erased. Did you try going to PHPmyADMIN and looking to see which database is your old database containing all your info?
