Boru Server Migration Information Thread

The hardware for the new Boru server has been ordered and will be online tomorrow. Migration will start somewhere around 24 hours from now.

We are now updating cPanel on this server to match the new server.

We will be swapping the SAN shortly, and then the IPs. This will cause temporary downtime. Updates will follow.

Updates are running... most likely will be some issues until it completes.

 

[Corey]

Running a file system check on the files due to updates not completing successfully. This will take a bit.

 

[Corey]

A full block scan had to be performed - it is on its second pass and not finding anything wrong. Once finished everything should be back to normal.

 

[Corey]

The scans have been completed successfully. We still have some minor maintenance to do but sites should now remain online and operational for the most part. Maintenance should be 100% completed tomorrow, at that time everyone should see massive performance increases.
