Bought the domain, now what?

Okay I have bought a .com domain, now I want to change the DNS servers, where can I found the info about it?

You can find that on your registrar's panel (on the same place where you brought it, you'll find a way to "manage" your domains)

On the management, you need to search for "Update/Change DNS" o "Name Servers" and then proceed to edit them.

Depending the registrar, the process will vary, but they will give you a option to set your own name servers, in such case use the next two (at least two nameservers are required)

NS1.X10HOSTING.COM
NS2.X10HOSTING.COM

Then, just accept and await them to get updated worldwide (this can take up to 24 hours)

Also remember to add the domains you have brought to your parked/add-on domain list here in X10 hosting using the cpanel.

Okay I have changed NameServers from my domain management and they are updated, now I have also parked the domain, but when I go to the domain, it says server not found!

What I need to do now?

Wait friend, wait

It can take upto 48 hours for DNS propogation.Visit http://nwtools.com for checking status of your dns records.

Okay, my domain name is: theislamsite.com

And the results show the updated DNS! You can check it up.

Hi it is working perfectly for me now but I got redirected to http://theislamsite.exofire.net/
You have added it as addon domain in cPanel, but you should add it as parked domain, if you want to make it primary domain.
Also if site is not opening for you use proxy untill your ISP knows where your site actually is.

Okay what I have done now is that I have deleted all the parked and add-on domains. I have just made theislamsite.com, my main domain from account management panel. Now check if its working from there. And why it is not working for me?

As I said wait it may take up to 48 hours to update the DNS records through out the whole internet.So you should be patient, as this is normal and happens with everybody.

It is working but presently I am getting redirected to http://x10hosting.com It could take some time.So kindly wait.

Hello,

I have the same problem. On Monday, I changed my main domain ymmij.x10.mx for my own domain ymmij.ca (I also changed name servers for x10).

When I type in ymmij.ca it redirects me to x10hosting.com. Is this normal ?

When I'm creating a subdomain it is possible to see what's in it but not on the main domain.

What's happen ? Where is no MySQL databases in my website so it cannot be this.

Okay, so now theislamsite.com redirects me to http://theislamsite.exofire.net/. But why? I do not want that.
