I remember my PS2 being bad for copied DVDs, see if you can test it on a regular DVD player somewhere

Test the DVD, you copied on the computer itself, see if you get the same problem.

Maybe there is an error in burning the movie. Try asking some support in your DVD-RW Manufacturer.

It sounds like a PAL, NTSC problem. Is the playstation chipped ?

No my playstation isn't chipped but it can play burned movies. I have played them before. The movie maybe was NTSC, idk. It worked on the comp.

And Slothie, I use Nero burning rom 8.1

That is your problem I am pretty sure. Easiest way would be to copy as PAL if you can, otherwise chipping the PS will allow it to play both(games and movies)

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that Nero Express and Burning ROM both have options of what kind of movie to burn, NTSC or PAL. Choose PAL - it seems to be better for all types of players.
