I have this problem below. Tried naming everything differently. Wordpress say it's a permission problem on the FTP host. Can you guys have a look? (I marked out the user names with **** on this forum post)

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the ***** database.

  • Are you sure it exists?
  • Does the user ****** have permission to use the ***** database?
  • On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username******. Could that be the problem?

Thanks

By looking at your cPanel your database does NOT have a user added to it.
I see that you have two database users, however none of them does have the rights to connect to your database.

You would need to add the database user to the database, giving it proper priviliges. You will find this option in cPanel under databases, just below the fields to create a database user you will find two drop downs, one contains of databases, the other database users, select the two you want to use together and click ADD.
