can i add my own domain for only a folder?

Yes, you can use "Addon domains" for that.
For example, you set an "Addon domain" addondom.com pointing to: public_html/addon folder. When you access addondom.com it will directly show the "addon" folder located on your public_html.

This way you can have more than website in one hosting account.
