Can I host my ASP .NET Core 2 Web API?

Hi there,
I've been a user forever and I've been slowly learning
how to make a nice powerful API using C#.
But, as far as I understand it must be a "running"
server type like with sockets in a way.

But there's luck?
Apparently Linux Based Web-hosting services
(x10hosting is Linux based) can SSH into the
hosting service and host the API that way?

I don't know anything about ASP .NET Core 2
Web APIs (yet) or how they're hosted, I have my mentor
teaching me but he's not too sure how I'd host it here.

Anyone know any way I'll be able to host my Web API
when it's finished?

As far as I know, there will be NO SSH access enable across Free hosting service provided by X10hosting same with other free hosting provider to prevent abuse on their system.
As for ASP.NET Core 2 Web Api, there's an option for local development (your computer) before anything else.
