Yes, you'll need to sign up for an account, and transfer your domain during the signup process.
If you need help, post here, and someone will help you make the transfer with ease.

transfering involves changing registrars... there is no reason to do so... just point dns to the ip you find in cpanel or change the name server to the name servers here... but keep in mind if you use x10's name servers you have no control over dns so if you want to use a sub-domain to point to another ip then you won't be able to... most registrars have free dns service and if yours does not i highly recommend zoneedit.com ... its free for first 5 domains and is extremely easy to use... nice break after working with bind (although I prefer to setup powerdns now when creating a dns server)...

You can either park or ad addon domain in ur cpanel and do as said by adrenlinerush
