Not sure what I have done but I can not install anything to root on my account..

I did have a 'basic' site up and running within the root folder but because of a scripting error, probably on my part through not installing a script or module correctly I have had to remove the Fantastico web installation in its entirety, that I had put on my site..
I could not remove the site via the Fantastico installer I used to install it and I had to do it manually instead..
This was fine and everything did un -install ok, the problem I have right now is that I am not able to install nothing to the root directory as the Fantastico installer will not allow it..
I am however able to install to a directory within the root folder but this I feel will only end up with my account being suspended 'once again' for having an incorrect index file or in this case, no index file whatsoever..

Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated..

I have already posted this on the forum else where but it had not been answered..

Many Thanks,

Edit:
Problem solved..

Just deleted the .fantastico folder and that seemed to have resolved the problem..

If only the server would stop going down!!!

Thank you for that.. I shall remember that for when I royally mess it up again..

Shame no one said anything 10 hours and 3 posts ago.. :pat:

One other quick question, would this be why the Apache HTTP Server keeps going off -line periodically now and again (ref. pic in my previous post) or does it just do that anyway?

It is most frustrating when nothing is loading up.... :thumbsdow
