I have tried renaming the WP directories, still can not delete. Uploading WP files after renaming, I still could not install WP. I can not change permissions from File Manager. Fantastico says there is no WP installation. Not sure what else to do so need some advice.

I finally got it to delete using Filezilla.

I still can not get WP to install. This is the error I get when I run wpadmin/install:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator,
no-reply@x10hosting.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Changed permissions of public_html to 555 and it worked!
