The rules say that one cannot run a script that runs more than once per 5 minutes...

Let's say I write a program for googles nacl plugin (Google native client), when this is run from the server would it be considered a script?
Or would this kind of program be against the rules all together?
The rules also state that I am not allowed to host adult material, if I were to write a game like "Grand Theft Auto", would said game be considered adult material since it would be rated PEGI-18, or if the I made a game containing nudity would that be adult material (Sorry if I sound dumb, but these limits are pretty floating and are subject of the server-owners definitions)

That is "Cron Jobs" that have a "5 minute" limit

A script or "Bots" is a "program" that runs on the server - Scripts are not allowed to runs constantly

Frrom the TOS: "Adult Material: Includes all pornography, erotic images, or otherwise lewd or obscene content. The designation of "adult material" is left entirely to the discretion of x10Hosting."

SEE the TOS --> http://x10hosting.com/terms

Yeah, I read them... still didn't quite get the definition, so I *assume* using an external host would be the smart choice if I would be in doubt.
If I got it right the aforementioned program would be allowed as long as it only runs when a user requests it and not all the time?
Thanks for clarifying that.

Sensibly... Adult content commonly refers to pornography - it depends on what you're looking at uploading. GTA screenshots? Should be OK. A custom built game? Awesome!

Additionally, I'm not familiar with the requirements of a server for a chrome native client extension - that said, it depends on the resource requirements.

To be honest, if there's a script running constantly but requiring as close to zero resources that makes no difference? That's probably fine. If it's a script that runs once every hour requiring all the resources available to it? That's not fine. Of course that's just an example but I hope you get my point. Check out clause 2 of the ToS marked High Resource Usage Policy. I can't remember the numbers but one of Corey or Bryon's posts details the exact allowances.

Also, the webspace is provided for just that - a website. People have come and gone before using their account solely for hosting maps for CoD.

Ah but that is the lovely part, my website is programming related thus it is still *technically* a website, even if I were to host tech examples as well.
Oh, and thanks for clarifying!

If you're hosting a website and the files are to do with that website, it's fine.
