Cannot access cpanel or use ftp

I created my ad-free account around this time yesterday. I am still unable to access cpanel with my login, and I still can't access the server with filezilla client. My account status is 'Unsuspended', and everything except 'Exim' is online. When attempting access with ftp, i get the error, '530 Login Authentication Failed'. What do I have to do? Please help, I'm wondering if there is a reason for this outside of me doing something wrong . . . if there's some problem with the server or something could someone please enlighten me . . .
