I recently created a website, xtdub.x10.mx, and uploaded some test files to it. The cpanel works fine, however I can not connect to the ftp through any means except the cpanel, and the site itself is not accessible. Is this a common problem with new accounts?

Hello,

I am viewing your domain fine, if you go to your domain does any page come up? If so what are the contents?

If I try to go to xtdub.x10.mx, I get redirected to an x10hosting page that says "Website specified does not exist".

Clear your browser history and cache before you try again.

I tried that, didn't work. I also tried using a different browser entirely.

Well, I see your home directory with just two files,
# keydb.php
# sql_info.php

If that is your site, your ISP or someone is caching old info. You might try flushing your DNS too.

Yes, that is the site so far. I tried the DNS flush to no avail, so I suppose it might be a problem with Comcast. I'll wait for a bit and try again tomorrow.

When you ping the site what IP do you get?

Ping results in 69.175.6.102. According to my cpanel the shared IP is 69.175.120.122, so it does seem like a DNS issue. Directly using 69.175.120.122 does not work though.

Ok, then your seeing an old dns entry for our catchall page, just wait a few hours and it should update.

And viewing the IP directly won't work, because it's a shared IP.

Well, I have changed to a different DNS and I can now see the file list on my site. When I try to access any of them I get a 500 Internal Server Error though. Any thoughts?

A. Make sure the php files have permissions of 0644
B. If the files try to call outside of x10hosting (cURL etc), that would be a problem since they have blocked the outgoing ports.
