Cannot Connect via FTP

Hi, this is my first ever post so please be gentle with me.

I have always had intermittent FTP issues with X10hosting. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I try to connect (using Windows explorer - Win 7 Pro, or command line) I get disconnected as soon as I connect:

ftp teamdsr.10hosting.com (or stoli.x10hosting.com)
Connected to teamdsr.x10hosting.com
220 ProFTP 1.3.3c Server (ProFTPD) [::ffff:69.175.122.178]
User (teamdsr.x10hosting.comnone)): <username>
331 Password required for <username>
Password:
Connection closed by remote host.

I know my log in credentials are correct as I don't get the "530 Login incorrect" error.

I can use cPanel and upload files manually one at a time but I have a whole load of files to upload and it would take me ages using this route.

Can anyone please help?

An admin fixed an issue with FTP/ Are you still having issues?

Still having issues today - still can't connect. I'm checking all the other FTP threads that have appeared since. Thanks for your reply.
