cannot delete directories

i have just recently uninstalled a Joomla installation but it only seemed to delete the /install/ directory from what i can see. So i then decided to delete the rest of the folders, but none of them will delete so now the remains of joomla are still there.
FileZilla Log for one of the folders:
Command: CWD xmlrpc
Response: 550 Can't change directory to xmlrpc: Permission denied
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Command: CWD /public_html
Response: 250 OK. Current directory is /public_html
Command: DELE xmlrpc
Response: 550 Could not delete xmlrpc: Invalid argument
Status: Retrieving directory listing...

It does this with all the folders i am trying to delete.

Hi,

I had a look at the permissions on your files, but could see nothing that would explain you not being able to delete them, which is weird.
I have deleted the files for you.

It is best if you open another support thread if the issue isn't relevant to the problem with deleting the directories.
