you can easily find free mov to mp4 converters by using a search engine
like google or duckduckgo, id provide a link but you need to find one
that is good for your operating system, has features you may like etc..
personally i just use anyvideo converter whenever i need to do that.

your mention of using safari surprised me,
usually 75% of all traffic i seen on my website used safari web browser.
and were either website scanners, search bots or others i dont allow.
a lot more "trashy"uses than your average IE, firefox etc.
but thats just what ive seen, i usually block safari because of it.
but thats just me.

you can download firefox for free if you want to try a different browser.
unless using apple/mac is your only option.

I have another question? I am just wondering whenever you try to download a video converter, do you ever get the message the computer had failed to do so or it is incompatible because this keeps happening to me in Safari? Should I try internet explorer 5.2 instead of Safari to see if it works? So far, I am still looking but not much luck. I am going to try again later. Surprisingly, Safari works better for me than any other browser and it is a good browser. I think I have Firefox on my Mac and I am going to test out. Not sure why but my safari refuses to let me download any mov to MP4 converter

Hi spacresx, I am going to use iMovie to see if I can convert my QuickTime mov files to MP4 file. Unfortunately all my files have been deleted after an hour after uploading specified by the free converter company. My safari won't let me save my video links at all and I am not sure why. I email the company asking why does my file not save every time I try emailing myself. I tried to fine mov to MP4 free download program and I found 2 one is a trial version and the other one is a program. I am hoping that one of them will work. If all else fail, I am probably going to resume back to MOV files so people who use Mac or who want to switch to using Mac can view my site if they want to

I am just assuming that your stuck using an old mac with old IE browser,
im not sure your version will connect to most sites now as they use html5 and that https protocol, not the old http of years ago.
that makes it very hard to find anything useful that will work unfortunately.
because all the companies have decided to update like mac/windows does.
and if the user dont follow along with updates its very difficult.

.mov is more a apple format not just mac, but windows too.
it just isnt used as much as mp4 or .mpeg files.
quicktime dont even have a player for windows 7 anymore.
and i dont think they have one for any newer windows either,
as like windows 8 and win10 apparently have support for .mov built in to it.
but win7 and under dont have it. thats how unpopular it is compared to mp4.

ive helped a friend years ago with their mac but im not to familiar with them.
(like i am with windows versions)

Hi spacresx, wow. Never knew that. Anyway, actually my Mac is the 2nd Mac I ever got since the 1st one broke so definitely it's old. Computer are very expensive but very valuable. I think I found the solution to my problem. I have iMovie and it lets me convert my QuickTime mov files to MP4 because I just made one of my file into one just now. I think I will be ok. I will definitely change it to MP4. After that, I will have to worry about the browser compatibility. I think I'll just take one step at the time. I am going to bed now(too tired to think straight). Do you mind if I send you my two links again if I make all the necessary changes tomorrow? Thank you so much for all your help!

hi spacecrex,
I emailed you. Please check your mail. I think my system is quite old because it is Mac OS X. 10.5.8 and it is slightly different from PC. I do find it a little easier to work on the Mac than on PC except for compatibility purposes.

i just checked, and replied.
The OS (operating system) is different but web page stuff is the same.
just takes different software to get similar results.
ive known some people that preferred mac over pc for same reason.
but i think it depends on what the person is used to using.
