I keep getting spam posted on my site by the same ip every time. Fortunately my site shows the ip against submission in the administration area, so i'm able to ban the ip's.
I do this by adding the ip's (or ranges if there are a lot of ip's in the same ranges) to the ip deny manager in cpanel.
I wasn't 100% certain that this was working though, since I know x10 uses either load balancers or proxys for the servers, meaning all users would appear to come from the same ip.
I then tried adding my home ip to the block list to check it worked. I then could not access the site. I then removed my ip via the .htaccess file, and can access the site again.
However, I cannot access my site's administration section now. The error displayed is:
If needed, my cpanel username is csc2ya

You don't have permission to access /admin/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
