Maybe this is not the right place to post this,
but the "thread tools" menu item doesn't work
correctly with my browser.

Can an admin close this thread for me ("PHP help", by cerbere),
and perhaps ask for a simpler way to close a thread
to the programming team ?

The "Close Thread" option is only enabled for common members on the forum sections that have the "Ticket system" installed. "Free Hosting" section and the Spanish support section and MarketPlace have this function enabled, and you'll able to close/re-open your own thread there.

I have closed ("PHP help", by cerbere) for you.

Thanks tittat, but...

What is a "common member" ?

Why does the sticky from kkenny (at the top of THIS forum section)
ask to close our threads ?

Why are spanish-speaking users treated differently ? :pigeon:)

Common = non mod/admin

The sticky says to close it because when it was posted, pretty much everyone could close their own threads - that functionality changed a while after that got posted.

The spanish-speaking users aren't treated differently, it's just that section of the forums (the free-support area) - other areas aren't set up as Ticket areas, whereas those areas are.

Just so happens the spanish sections of the forum are under the free-hosting support areas.
