cant connect to database

my simple machines forum is giving me this message:

"There has been a problem with the database!

This is a notice email to let you know that SMF could not connect to the database, contact your host if this continues."


my database was working fine till last week i have not made any changes since a month ago. all i did was login into phpadmin and then it started happening. the non php pages are working fine. the database is mysql

make sure your db_host is set to localhost in config.php file..


Also Note that currently our admins are doing migration on stoli. It may be because of that

i did not know that ok so my site is temporary down OK no big deal then the site is used for me and some friends anyway
