Can't create temporary directory:ERROR

I created a html & css file for a webpage assignment. the webpage only contains an image of a map. I tried to upload this html and css file but got the error message below;

Index.html: unknown Bytes complete FAILED! :The file you uploaded, Index.html, contains a virus so the upload was canceled: Can't create temporary directory ERROR


Index.css: unknown Bytes complete FAILED! :The file you uploaded, Index.css, contains a virus so the upload was canceled: Can't create new file ERROR



Needless to say i scanned my files and they do not have any virus. A classmate of mine who is also working on the same assignment go a similar error when he tried to upload his. Any idea what this could be.

P.S. i tried to upload a file which i had previously uploaded on this site but it gave me the same error.

Use the File Manger to create blank Index.html and Index.css files, edit those files and copy and paste your code.
