Can't install mambo

When I install mambo I get the error:

The installation can not be completed:- You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.



There is nothing installed on /public_html/



I have a feeling deleting all the files on /public_html/ May have cause some problems...



Can anyone restore the default files?

When you open the file manager, check the box that next to "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)." and in the folder public_html delete all of the files that start with .
