Can't log in to the account page

Hi all,
ive just signed up and for some reason im not able to access the account management page everytime i try to login it tells me that the specified username doesnt exist. cpanel and ftp are working fine with the same username. I hope somebody can suggest a remedy for my problem. Thanks in advance
