cant login using login user name

After the forum has moved to new server,I observed that I cant login using login user name.
I had to use the email provided every time instead of the login name.
Do you have a specific reason to set it like that..
If not..please revert back to \"either username or login email\" stuff please..

Hello,

I believe that the username was removed because of a potential security issue. Details are sketchy, however all you need to know is to use your email address.
