can't logon to CP, can't use email client

when accessing POP email:

POP3: 08:52:35 [tx] USER vr@vadimrapp.com
POP3: 08:52:35 [rx] +OK Password required.
POP3: 08:52:35 [tx] PASS ********
POP3: 08:52:35 [rx] -ERR Maildir invalid (no 'cur' directory)

correction: please disregard re. logon, the browser was not accepting cookies.

Can you create a new Email address and try it with that, I want to know if it's an account problem or a problem specifically to that address.
