cant open some sites

i am having problem opening my sites on my computer.
i can open any website but when i try to open facebook or ibibo.com it says server not found.

i am using windows xp and i tried using several other browsers - firefox, chrome, ie, opera, safari and not what else

i tried everything - flush dns and not what else but no luck.

any ideas what could be the cause.

Are you using(behind) some proxy server/firewall ?

Is it a personal computer, college computer or a home computer with parents moderating you ?

assume you r not behind firewall

try to use Google DNS

if that still doesn't work, check etc/hosts to see if it has been tampered

I guess it's a firewall issue. Or try a proxy site as stardom suggested.

i think this site may be block from the router

try to open your router for example ( 10.0.0.1 )

check your geteway and take this number and open it in the browser after that check the filter maybe it is block

if you found it make delete and try to open the site again

Check your hosts file located in: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. Make sure there aren't any custom mappings you don't recognize/
