Hi
Weird thing just happen: I was on ftp with my server (ftp.ez-think.com) when I got disconnected. Now I can't ping the adress that I have on my DNS: 74.86.240.236. Weirder is that on the http://x10hosting.com/account I see 74.86.116.190 as IP adress for my server. IP that I cannot ping either...

Did you just had some IP changes? Should I change my DNS records and wait for the new IP to propagate?

Thanks!
NOTE: It just went back online. But I am still curious about the two IP adresses... should I update the DNS record?
NOTE2: Went down again... :-(

The site seems to be working for me. Can you ping the site now?

I think it might be a security issue: do you ban certain IP for 30mn if to many connections are made? I am using FileZila and it seems that every half an hour it can connect and start again. I decreased now the nbr of max connection to 5 to see what will happend next time it works...

Still, why do I use a different IP that the one on the Hosting panel??

Thanks
Karel

You get temporarily banned if there are a large number of connections to the server. Reducing the number of connections will resolve the issue. What is the IP you get?

The adress that I have on my DNS is 74.86.240.236. which I do access my site with.
On the http://x10hosting.com/account I see 74.86.116.190 as IP adress for my server, but I don't see my site on that adress...

Thanks

74.86.116.190 is the main IP Address for Cossacks server.
74.86.240.236 is a secondary IP Address for Cossacks, in which accounts are created. This is the IP Address accounts use.

The problem you're having is because you're using an FTP Client which has enabled "Multiple Connections". This opens lots of connections to the server, and the firewall finally blocks you.
Go to your FTP client settings and disable all multiple connections.
