Cant see website.

My website http://www.insekt.xhosting.com isnt working. FTP works, but whenever i try to go to website it says "This page cannot be displayed." Anybody have any suggestions or idea's on what i can do to make it work?

nope, havent uploaded anything to it, or modded it or anything. just trying to get the actual site up so i can access it.

also, whenever I go to the IP you pm'ed me when you made the account Rhianna, on port 2082. I can logon to the cPanel

If you have not uploaded anything, that might be a possible reason why you can't see anything.

Create a really basic html page, upload it, & see if you can see it as a test.

nope, still not able to access it after uploading an older site that i had.

still getting the page cannot be displayed

also, if there wasnt an index.html on the site, shouldnt i still be able to see the root directory like this site

Also, I have tried to send email to/from the default email account on the website. Both times I get errors.

I think you have the same problem as I have.

For me it helped to add my site to my HOSTS file, but that's of course not the way it should be i think.

ok i added xhosting.com and insekt.xhosting.com in the host file under the ip of 70.85.87.52, and the website works now, but i think that other people wont be able to see it.

I was just browsing through the account list, and saw that your subdomain wasn't created correctly. It should be insekt.x10hosting.com.

Maybe Corey or Auvee can rename (or I think you have to recreate) your subdomain so it works.

Log into cPanel >click on File Manager

What do you see in public_html ?

Click upload files to upload your files manually.

I asked you to create a simple html file (not use your old one) A really ultra simple one with a yellow background or something would help diagnose the problem.

You are supposed to use:

NameServer1: ns1.x10hosting.com

NameServer2: ns2.x10hosting.com

did you do that?

What i ment about the hosts file is that I went to "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ect. Then in there open the hosts file. And add these lines to it.

70.85.87.52 www.xhosting.com
70.85.87.52 www.insekt.xhosting.com

atfer i did that, the website would load for me. But doing it this way I dont think it would show up for other people.

also, whenever i ping or tracert "www.insekt.xhosting.com" I get this message

"Ping Request Could Not Find Host www.insekt.xhosting.com. Please check the name and try again.

lol .. same thing happened to me when I was on a diferent host but the admins were not so smart there and a week passed until they noticed
