cant sign up - says im using proxy

I will ask this again with a proper title, hopefully someone can help me. As far as I know I am not using a proxy. I had an account here before in the past please help.

Is there any chance that you're using a browser extension that allows you to get around regional content restrictions (like for Comedy Central or an online movie service that isn't available where you live)? They make your requests look exactly like they're coming through a proxy (which is how they work to get around the region problem).
