I'm unsure of what to enter for the Host Description, I enter the domain host & it rejects it. What am I missing?

Also, do I need to recreate the coppermine PG before I do a backup - or do I just use the backup I have on my desktop to recover the files to the new site?

You should use backup on your desktop.
