Hi, I searched the forums for changing CNAME records and apparently I cannot do it my self. I am attempting to verify domain ownership with google apps. These are the instructions:

Change CNAME records to verify that you own faithbuilt.com Follow the steps below to verify your domain ownership.

  1. Sign in to your domain hosting service and locate the DNS management page. The location varies by service, but can typically be found under Domain Management or Advanced Settings .
  2. Use the following unique string to create a new CNAME record for the faithbuilt.com domain: googleffffffffe5f04a89
  3. Point the CNAME record to: google.com
  4. Once you have made the changes, you can verify that the record exists by doing a CNAME lookup for http://googleffffffffe5f04a89.faithbuilt.com . You can find several web sites to do automated CNAME lookups by searching for CNAME lookup at http://www.google.com .
Could you please help me change the cname?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

Before we can add the CNAME record you need to point the domain to our nameservers (ns1.x10hosting.com & ns2.x10hosting.com) and set it up on your account.
Only once you have done this can we edit the CNAME record.

(I will also move this ticket to official support http://support.x10hosting.com)
