changing proportions for screen resolution

I would like to change the proportion of a flash file because with different screen resolutions the file doesn't fit within the area I have given it. Can anyone help?

you might want to look into javascript to change the HTML

i'm not familiar with both, so i can't help you out much

thanks for that although I did think I could avoid using JS as not all users have it. That's what I'm trying to do - make the page as universal as possible so different specs can enjoy the same experience. Any other suggestions are massively welcome. thanks again
