The only thing that might (okay, will probably) be a problem are three jailbreak articles/announcements. Unlocking depends on the state of the agreement between consumer and carrier, so while it may be grey (and you'd need to mention that you can only do this with devices that are not contract-subsidized), it is legal in the US under specific circumstances. That CTIA article pretty much sums up the current state of legality in the US, and x10 has to abide by US law, regardless of its silliness, stupidity or unfairness, so articles pointing to means of doing things that have been defined as "illegal hacking" are verboten. The OS stuff, "backdoor" installs, etc., would apply to carrier-free (wifi-only or full-price wireless) devices not covered by the restrictions, so that shouldn't be a problem.
