Chopin Server Down?

Hi,

I host a website with the Chopin server, but have not been able to access it for nearly a week now. When the accounts were getting transferred over, my site was down for about a fortnight, and then once they had finished being transferred, up for a week. now, unfortunately, it its down again.

There appears to be no announcments regarding the server being down, but I cannot access my site or http://chopin.x10hosting.com

Can someone please confirm that Chopin is down, and also when it will be brought back up?

Your http://simonhenshall.co.cc/ works fine for me. Go to http://hidemyass.com and use that proxy to try to access your site.

Thanks for this find, and yes, my site does seem to be accessable through a proxy, and even the update server itself! :biggrin:

Any ideas why I can't access either normally, and possibly how to fix this problem?

I am guessing your blocked by the firewall. Please try flushing your DNS.

Hmm, I tried flushing my DNS by going ipconfig /flushdns. I was still not able to access either http://www.simonhenshall.co.cc or http://chopin.x10hosting.com

I also had a friend test both of those sites, and they could also access neither of them without the aid of a proxy. Does this mean that BOTH of us have problems with our firewalls, or I have stumbled across the most annoying bugs in X10hosting?

Might be our firewall, though it does seem a bit odd that you both should be blocked in that case, unless you share IP.

However, I know that from time to time temporary blocks on IP ranges has been issued in order to stop an ongoing attack, though as far as I know there's been no attacks on chopin lately. I will escalate this into a ticket.

Please post in there with your IP, and your friends, so we can check if you are blocked in our firewall.
