Resolved Cloudflare

Hey!
Question for you - am I permitted to use Cloudflare with my free hosting/utilize their ssl? Just want to make sure I won't be temporarily breaking my site while I attempt to do this.

You are absolutely allowed to use Cloudflare services.

You would need to have your own custom domain though for it to work properly, you need to be using their name servers

I use cloudflare for my website since my return here and it's done well. No problems at all
