Hello,

I have a problem with my x10 domain...
When I registered on x10Hosting, I first chose " dexter.pcriot.com " to be my primary domain... And it worked perfectly.
But now, when co.cc domains have been introduced here, I decided to switch to a co.cc domain...
I set my new primary domain to be " dexter.co.cc "... But it seems it is not working at all... Even after several days waiting...

I tried to PING the domain, it says the IP address is 10.10.10.10... Which, as far as I know, is not even a valid Internet address (10.x.x.x are reserved for local networks, aren't they?)
Then I went to the CPanel, it reports a completely different IP address for my website!

Now I discovered that there is a domain called co.cc (I guess it is the "original" co.cc domain service?)
So can it be that I have to register my co.cc domain there? Or is it possible to register the domain here independently?
I do not like to take surveys to get my free domain, and it seems that co.cc service requires that... Does it still mean that co.cc registrations are possible here on x10Hosting, without those surveys? Or I have to go there on co.cc and register my domain there first?

Please help, I want my co.cc domain. And if possible, without those surveys!

Hello,

You can have up to 3 domains on a co.cc account I believe before you need to complete a survey (unless they've changed it).
You must register the domain at http://www.co.cc/ first, then set its nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com, then add the domain to your account as main, parked OR addon. It can only be one. If using it as your main domain you should see co.cc in the drop down menu in the account panel, if you tick the box to use a x10 subdomain.

Thanks.

So I do have to register my domain there first.

Actually I already had a domain dexter.co.cc registered on my co.cc account once... But it expired. So I should renew it now, then change the nameservers and finally I can use it on x10Hosting...

Thank you for the answer.
