I have searched the forum and have gathered information to setup my Domain name at CO.CC but am not sure whether these are the correct details? The server names are correct, I believe (with the new ns1 #).
I have also provided my shared IP from the cPanel for the zone records. I put the shared ip into a browser and it returned a 404 - is that correct?
When I try to input the zone records details in CO.CC setup it then deletes the previous named servers details (seems odd).
All this info seems complicated to find, however, here are the details:
..........................
The x10Hosting name servers and their IPs are:

ns1.x10hosting.com = 74.86.117.243
ns2.x10hosting.com = 173.236.27.195
..........................................................................................

Host: www.dbcv.co.cc
TTL: 1D
Type: A
Value: 69.175.121.66

Host: www.dbcv.co.cc
TTL: 1D
Type: CNAME
Value: www.dbcv.co.cc

Hope someone can help as I feel that the name will be removed after 48 hours but I have re-input the server names and they seem to be still there.
Thanks.

Names are right. IP's are totally wrong. NEVER use information that is more than a week old. If you search the Forum, look at the date of the post.

Please note that your current main domain is NOT set to a co.cc domain.

I presume I can just provide the server names and co.cc will be ok:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com
I have opened the link - "how to use your own domain" (getting a headache now). Are there any mistakes to avoid?
Thanks

On CO.CC's side, all you need are the nameservers. You'll then have to finish setting up your domain in your cPanel, as per these instructions:

http://x10hosting.com/wiki/How_to_Use_Your_Own_Domain

I went to this link and, up to the menu and selected modify domain. I am not sure what to put.
It says main domain = dbcv.co.cc.elementfx.com
If I click on the link it says:
404 Not Found

The server can not find the requested page:
dbcv.co.cc.elementfx.com/cgi-sys/.x10hosting.com (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to dbcv.co.cc.elementfx.com's WebMaster.
....................................
Do I have to wait for something pending?

Now it shows your main domain to be dbcv.elementfx.com and that brings up your own "Website under construction" page.

I made that index page before I went to modify the domain. If I click on that link it just says:
http://dbcv.elementfx.com/cgi-sys/.x10hosting.com (in the browser)
and the page says:
Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-sys/.x10hosting.com was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Clear your browser cache and history. Close your browser. Open your browser again. They try going to your site.

If it still doesn't work, your ISP is caching the old page and giving you old information and will continue to do so for up to a day. Add ?fooooo to the end of the URL to fool the ISP caching routines.

If I put:
http://www.dbcv.elementfx.com/index.htm
into the browser it displays the page. If I click the link on the modify domains page it just goes to:
http://dbcv.elementfx.com/cgi-sys/.x10hosting.com

I have also asked co.cc to redirect to (URL):
www.dbcv.elementfx.com (frame - URL hiding)

My head hurts but is everything right now?

Sorry I wrote the last message whilst you were writing too. I cleared the cache etc and now the index page opens with:
http://www.dbcv.elementfx.com/
I presume everything is correct now and that "co.cc" won't delete the account
