I have a domain name, call it www.NAME.org supported by GoDaddy.

I have an X10Host web site, call it NAME.x10host.com.

I want to set things up so that http://www.NAME.org takes users to my x10host web site.

I know I need to modify my GoDaddy entry to point to x10host's name servers; I know how to do that.

I believe that I also need to add a DNS entry at x10host; it's not clear to me whether this should be an A record, a CNAME record, or a PTR record.

Any advice welcome. Or a pointer to documentation; a form entry from 2016 suggests https://x10hosting.com/support/domains/add-domain-name, but that address seems to no longer be valid.

Thanks!

Add domain to x10host, use domain pointer to direct domain to x10host free domain.

Thanks! I added the domain to x10host, then tried to create a domain pointer; the domain pointer process said "already exists". So I deleted the domain, then tried again to create the domain pointer. That succeeded, and produced a set of DNS records that look to my non-expert eye as if they'll do what I need, direct requests for www.NAME.org to NAME.x10host.com.
I'll go ahead and set up the NS entries on GoDaddy and see what happens. (As soon as I follow a 10-year-old paper trail and find my organization's GoDaddy id/pw...)
Thanks again for your help, ctyrd!
